Robert E. Jones, Ph.D.
Founder, Lead Bioinformatician
Robert is a bioinformatician with extensive experience in both clinical and non-model research settings. He holds a Ph.D. in Biological Sciences from Mississippi State University, where he also earned his undergraduate degree in the same field. During his time at MSU, Robert led the development of PhyloFisher, a Python-based phylogenomic package. He previously worked as a Clinical Data Scientist/Bioinformatician at the HudsonAlpha Clinical Services Lab, where he was responsible for clinical pipeline development and maintenance, as well as leading data delivery to clients. Outside of work, Robert enjoys playing guitar, playing tennis, and spending quality time with his friends and family.
Erin P. Jones
Data Scientist
Erin is a data scientist with bioinformatic experience. She holds a B.S. in Data Science from Mississippi State University. While an undergraduate, she aided in the development of a metabarcoding pipeline that uses long-read seqeuncing. In her free time, Erin enjoys reading, playing pickle ball, and volunteering at the Houston Museum of Natural Sciences.
